Denise Short
Secretary & Treasurer
Denise Short is a graduate of Oakland University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development with a minor in Labor Relations. During her college years she worked at Huntington National Bank, where she gained extensive banking experience, beginning at a local branch before moving into the Human Resource Department and later Retail Administration, where she provided administrative support to Operations, Marketing, Consumer Lending, Training and Development, Loss Prevention, and Business Banking. After the birth of her first child, she left banking to focus on her family. Once her children started elementary school, she returned to work as an Administrative Manager and Treasurer for the First United Methodist Church of Saint Clair, maintaining accurate records of accounts, and later served as secretary of the St. Clair First Global Methodist Church. Over the past decade she has developed a deep interest in gardening and beekeeping. She was fortunate to meet Kenneth Meyer, who has mentored her in gardening and beekeeping techniques, and she has assisted the farm and become an apprentice beekeeper. This led to her current position as Secretary and Treasurer for The Pollinator Project. She has grown into a passionate outdoor enthusiast who cherishes nature and enjoys creating habitats for pollinators.
