Denise Short
Secretary/Treasurer
Denise is a graduate of Oakland University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development, complemented by a minor in Labor Relations. During my college years, I worked at Huntington National Bank, where I gained extensive banking experience. I began at a local branch, later transitioned to their Human Resource Department, and received a promotion to work in Retail Administration, providing essential administrative support to Operations, Marketing, Consumer Lending, Training and Development, Loss Prevention, and Business Banking. After the birth of my first child, I chose to leave the banking sector to focus on my family. Once my children started elementary school, I returned to work as an Administrative Manager/Treasurer for the First United Methodist Church of Saint Clair, where I assisted with their financial needs by maintaining accurate records of accounts. Then I was the secretary of the St. Clair First Global Methodist Church. For the past decade, I have developed a deep interest in gardening and beekeeping. I was fortunate to meet Kenneth Meyer, who has been mentoring me in gardening and beekeeping techniques. I have also had the opportunity to assist the farm as well as become an apprentice beekeeper. This led me to my current position as the Secretary/Treasurer for ThePollinatorProject.org. I have grown into a passionate outdoor enthusiast, cherishing and enjoying nature while creating habitats for pollinators.
